Dominican Republic experiences severe power shortages. Therefore
access to street power is often sporadic. The apartment is
fitted with an inverter to run lights and basic appliances
during these shortages however water supply and the running of
air conditioning is not available during these outages. The
complex also has a communal generator, its use is controlled by
the complex administrator.
